Spyderco - Techno 3 - Titanium CTS XHP PE

The Spyderco Techno 3 is based on the incredibly popular Mouse 3 designed by Polish custom knife maker Marcin Slysz.

With its small front size, the knife is ideal for EDC (Every Day Carry). The Sheepfoot blade is made of the American CTS XHP, this steel was introduced to the market in the year 1994, XHP is an is created by combining the best parts of D2 and 440C, therefore XHP has a high wear and sharpness retention of D2 but the corrosion resistance of 440C.

The blade further features a decorative Spyderco hole, to open the knife the Techno 3 has a flipper on the back of the blade. when you open the knife the Reeve Integral Lock (R.I.L.) will lock the knife in the open position. R.I.L. is a frame lock that works much the same as a liner lock but instead of the liner, a milled out part of the handle holds the blade in place.

The handle of the Techno 3 is made of Titanium. This gives the knife its beautiful color, in addition to its attractive appearance, titanium has high abrasion resistance and excellent corrosion resistance. Furthermore, titanium makes the Techno 3 surprisingly light.
