SOG - Altair XR - Squid ink

The SOG Altair XR is a modern EDC (Every Day Carry) knife with a timeless design, subtle styling and high-quality construction.

The blade is made of CPM-154 Steel.
This type of steel is known for its toughness and excellent corrosion resistance. Furthermore, the blade is finished in a titanium coating, this improves the cutting properties of the knife, makes the steel more corrosion resistant and gives a subtle satin finish. The blade is easy to open by the thumb studs on both sides of the blade. The Altair has a so-called XR Lock, which is a manual sliding mechanism that locks the blade.

The handle is made of textured injection-molded, fiberglass-reinforced nylon (GRN). This makes the knives surprisingly light and solid. Furthermore, the integrated pattern ensures a fantastic grip in even the most demanding weather conditions. The lines of the handle are not interrupted, as the Altair is designed with hidden screws.

The Altair comes with both a carry clip liner and a lanyard eye liner, which can be exchanged as desired.
