Morakniv - Garberg Black Blade - Dala Red

The Morakniv Garberg is a durable all-rounder.

The “full tang” blade extends all the way into the handle and is a whopping 3.2 mm thick. The blade is made of DLC coated carbon steel, this type of steel has excellent durability and long sharpness retention.

Carbon steel is less resistant to corrosion, to combat oxidation the knife is finished with a DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating.
Furthermore, the DLC coating ensures that friction is reduced and wear resistance is increased. Of course, the coating also gives the steel a stylish black finish.

The back of the blade is flat-ground to make it suitable for use with a firesteel.

The handle is made of textured Dala red plastic. This handle makes the knife surprisingly light and easy to clean. Furthermore, the integrated texture provides a fantastic grip in all weather conditions.
Dala red is Mora's well-known color, derived from the traditional red wooden houses in the Dalarna region.

The Garberg comes with a molded plastic sheath equipped with a leather belt loop. The Garberg also features a lanyard eye.
