The Windmill Dutch Oven 6 QT
The Dutch Oven is a Dutch invention. A multifunctional, cast iron pan. The Dutch Oven therefore owes its name to that it is easy to use as an oven by heating the pan from above and below. This can be with wood, charcoal or briquettes. The pan is made entirely of cast iron, which means that the Dutch ovens can be used on every heat source. Cast iron has the property that the heat lines well and also retains for a long time. Put the pan directly in the fire, on a fire table, in your fire pit or on the barbecue. In the absence of dry weather outside you can even use the pan inside on your gas stove or in your oven.
You can therefore use the Dutch Oven for baking and roasting, to make stews, baking cakes, Brownies, oven dishes etc. Net oil in it you can even bake oliebollen.
Cover
The lid of the pan contains handy legs. Turn the lid over and put it with the legs on briquettes, charcoal or in the heat and use it as a baking sheet. Another tip: for example, make a nice pizza on it and then put the pan over it. In addition, the legs on the lid are useful for "stacking". So the Dutch ovens stack together. For example, two are heated with the same heat source. You can also place a cast -iron frying pan or BBQ pan on top of the Dutch oven.
