The VH12L+ Dutch Oven is made of cast iron. Cast iron is an ideal material because it is suitable for any heat source, is highly heatable and also retains heat very well.

The design of this Dutch Oven is well thought out, real consideration has been given to multi-purpose and ease of use. The VH12L+ is a Dutch Oven with legs on the bottom. The legs on the bottom allow you to place it directly over the heat source without suffocating the heat. This is ideal when you want to use the Dutch Oven in the age-old way with heat from above and heat from below.

You then place the Dutch Oven directly over briquettes, for example, and place briquettes on the lid. This way you can use your pan similar to an oven. In this way you can bake the most delicious breads, but also delicious stews.

The lid of the Dutch Oven can also be used as a skillet so you actually have 2 in 1.

All Valhal Outdoor cast iron has already been pre-treated with a natural oil, so you don't need to do this yourself before using it for the first time, but we always recommend treating cast iron again. If you take good care of cast iron, it can last a lifetime. To ensure longevity, we recommend regularly treating your pan with the VH.WAX. Specially designed for the care and burn-in of cast iron.
