Thermos flasks come in different shapes and sizes. There are also important differences between brands of insulated bottles. In this section we offer a diverse range of thermos flasks. Below we provide more information and explanations so you can choose the right thermos bottle.

Actually, every household should have a number of thermos bottles in the cupboard. Because how handy is it if you can take a hot drink or cup of soup with you and 6 hours later you can enjoy it as if it has just been prepared!

A thermos is a godsend when it comes to insulating the temperature of drinks or food. For example, you can use it to keep soup, tea or coffee hot for hours or, on the contrary, keep a cold drink chilled for hours. The insulation value varies depending on the size, type and quality of the bottle. More about this is told below under the heading of insulation value. There is also the model of the thermos you choose to consider. Some are shaped like a cup so you can drink directly from it where others are made for pouring. Many large vacuum flasks come with a built-in cup, often as the cap of the thermos.

Thermos flasks are usually made of stainless steel and sometimes plastic, and they have double-walled insulation on the inside. The inside can also be made of stainless steel or glass (both treated with a special insulating layer). The air between these walls ensures that the temperature on the inside is not directly felt on the outside, thus preserving heat longer. For many types, a minimum insulation value (duration of staying at temperature) is given. This is a good indication but still depends on a number of factors. The larger the content the longer the liquid stays at temperature, because there is more mass (this only applies as long as the bottle is completely filled). The temperature in which the thermos is used also plays a role (especially with the cheaper bottles. For example, in cold weather below 0 in winter a hot drink will not stay hot as long as it would at a temperature of 20 degrees.

A tip to maximize the insulation value is to put (hot/boiling) water in the bottle first. This way, the bottle is warmed up and the drink does not immediately cool down several degrees when you pour it into the insulated bottle. This will ultimately allow you to enjoy a hot beverage longer!

Insulation value per thermos

To make your choices easier, we have shared information on insulation values below. Hopefully this will help you get a better idea of what insulation value you need for where you want to use the product. If you only need to keep a beverage hot (or cold) for one or two hours then you are fine with a cheaper insulated bottle. But if you want to enjoy a hot drink over a period of 6 to 12 hours (or longer) then you really need to look at the better insulated bottles from the top brand Thermos!

Thermos brand vacuum flasks

We are an official dealer of the well-known brand Thermos. For years this has been the most popular brand for thermos bottles and thermos jugs. The quality of these bottles is more than proven, for example, the large 1 liter thermos bottles are so well insulated that after 24 hours you can still burn your hand on the water you put in the bottle 24 hours earlier just after it boiled.

All thermos brand bottles have good insulation, only the model of the bottle can cause the drink to not stay hot as long. There are also cheaper bottles (the everyday series) that are not equipped with a thermax layer, so the contents are not as well insulated.

If a bottle has a large filler opening, the bottle also loses heat faster, which means the guaranteed time the contents will stay hot will be a lot lower.
